Using Connect It to Create Items Awaiting Receipt

Jump to solution

I've been trying to create a scenario to create items awaiting receipt.  I've tried starting at the Portfolio and POrdline.  However, all of the items are not created.  Is this possible to do with Connect It?

Not that I can think of.... but why would you want to?   If you do not have data you are bringing in the just use a Script inside AM and call the API you mentioned.  Or... If what you are getting is something saying a particular ReqLine (POrdLine more likelly) should be striggered then you can use CIT to flip the seStatus and then have a Workflow trigger to run the action to do what you want.

Absolutelly... this is frequentlly done when you get an ASN (Advanced Shipping Notice) from a Vendor.  Generally you would have amPortfolio (or amAsset) as the root.  The main issue is to make sure the ASN (or whatever your source is) contains something you can use to reconcile to a Model with.

Thanks Russ for your reply.  Is there a way to mimic Asset Manager's AmInstantiateReqLine function using Connect It?
