AM Population Adapter Push Back IDs

Hi Сolleagues,

We have integration between UCMDB 10.01( CUP8 CP12_9) and AM 9.31.

My question about Push Back IDs in AP Population adapter.

In what cases should be enabled this option?

In SCAM document written : "Identify a unique CI if the feature is disabled and the
reconciliation of CIs will not work."

It's no clear. Please, explain the meaning of this option.

Thank You.

Best regards, Sergy.

Best Regards, Sergy.

Re: AM Population Adapter Push Back IDs

Hi..In cases when you populate data mainly from the source to target... for example consider any data sources ( AM, RTSM..ETC) populate to target uCMDB. uCMDB is the central data source which reconcile the data during population and generate the global id for the CIs and the ID will be push back to the source data source attribute to maintain the uniformity of CIs identified across all CMDBs (AM, RTSM...), now if you dont push back the ids during next population the CIs are not reconciled based on the ID and there is a posibility of reconcilation issues if there is  a change in data and it will end up in duplicates. Regards..
