Adapter Management, "Configuration Files"

Hi Experts,

I have modified ServieManagerAdapter9-x/sm.properties. Since then there is a * mark next to configuration file like ServiceManagerAdapter9-x/sm.properties *.

Since then I reverted sm.properites to original value and saved it; and yet there is a still * mark next to it.

The question goes Is it possible to make * mark go away after revert back to original values?

If so, how can I make * mark go away? Also, how can I revert back to the point where I did not touch or make any modification stage.

I am attaching a screenshot for reference.

Thanks,

Re: Adapter Management, "Configuration Files"

Hi Nigon Yang,

What the * means is to identify when a file has been modified. You can try to re-deploy the original Adapter in order to make * go away.

Hope this helps,

Re: Adapter Management, "Configuration Files"

Hi.

Just to strengthen the point from previous post - the "*" means some change has been made since the file was deployed. It does not mean that there is necessarily a change in the content of that configuration file.

In UCMDB 10.10, you can see the history a discovery configuration file using the URM Services JMX. Even when you reverted the changed, there is a new revision of that file in its history. I recommend using this new option to see that indeed something changed since the file was deployed and to compare the contents of the original file with the latest revision.
