Agent Driven Flow Enabled ? Please explain

Can somebody explain what this actually is? Compared with normal installation? What is "Agent Driven Flow?"

Thank you very much for clarification.

The idea behind the Agent Driven Flow is to exclude the Job execution from UCMDB and to give the responsibility of the scanner execution to the scheduler of the host. This is particularly useful when the UCMDB DFP is not able to reach the host - because of firewall, NAT or constantly changing IP Address.

When the UD Agent is enabled with agent driven flow, it downloads the resources periodically from UCMDB and then executes the scanner based on the scheduled period. Once the scanner has the result, the agent is sending it to the DFP incoming folder and then it is processed by the XML Enricher.
