Application by Shell

Hi ,

UCMDB 10.32 CP 25

I am running a job Host Application by Shell. In that i am seeing the below error for most of the hosts.

<< Progress message, Severity: Error>>
Failed adding entities of type process to Probe database.

<< Progress message, Severity: Warning>>
Exception during processing of plug-in:cannot concatenate 'str' and 'NoneType' objects

Does any have any idea what is wrong in this.

Re: Application by Shell

Can you past the part of the CommLog where the exception happens?

This looks like https://softwaresupport.softwaregrp.com/group/softwaresupport/search-result/-/facetsearch/document/LID/QCCR1H119185

Re: Application by Shell

This is a fixed defect in CP26, I suggest to plan the CP26 deployment.

Check the release notes https://docs.microfocus.com/itom/Universal_Discovery_Content_Pack:26/CP_ReleaseNotes/fixed_defects_cp26#.24filename.7C for defect ID QCCR1H119185

Re: Application by Shell

It's a long shot but maybe that probe doesn't have all the discovery resources after the CP26 deployment.

Could you try a clearProbeData on it? It might just unjinx it.

Re: Application by Shell

By Clearing probe data you mean to say run the bat file or to clear the probe data from the job itself.

Also i read that running bat file will create a severe impact on the system.

Re: Application by Shell

USING ClearPROBEData is a good idea or not. I had read that some people are struggled after using this option.
