Bidirectional Integration between BSM to UCMDB

Hi,

Working on UD10.10 CUP2 CP13.2

We integrated UD to BSM  and sync all CMS data with RTSM with given TQL. But want to know whether it is required to sync it back from BSM to UCMDB  using all TQLs like basicinfrastructure, credential sync, etc jobs.  or need to run  RTSM TO CMS jdefault jobi.e.  (odbTOCMS Sync)job.

It needs to sync all CIs from UCMDB TO BSM(pull ) and BSM to UCMDB (population)to reconcile and get unique CIS across the products referring CLIP solution.

Same thing with UCMDB to SM integration. Does I need to push UCMDB CIs to SM and again resync back from SM to UCMDB to get single CIs across all products

Neeed to understand pros and cons with bidirectional integrations with BSM and SM refering CLIP soluution.

Regards,

Nick

Generally, the only reason to do bi-directional sync is if the target is adding some information to the CIs sent.  An example would be if you have the NNMi -> BSM topology sync happending and pushing data to RTSM, but you wanted to do discovery on those node CIs to discover more information about running software, etc from UCMDB, then you could sync that data to UCMDB, do additional discovery and sync back to RTSM.  But if the platform is not adding additional data, then there may be no need to sync bi-directionally.  As always, it is best to check with a solution architect for your specific use case.

Hope this helps,
