CISco Ip phones discovery
Please let me know how to discover Cisco IP phones without SNMP where model number, serial number is required. WE have only UD , no nnm is present in the env. Please let me know the method to discover such devices as complete CI.
what is the difference between CI and a node? Please xplain with some examples.
Re: CISco Ip phones discovery
Could you please provide us with following info:
- What models of IP Phones you are planing to discover?
- Is there any Cisco network management systems within the company?
In UCMDB CI stands for Configuration Item. Any object in IT world - server, software, process, resource.
Node in UCMDB is a Configuration Item Type (AKA CIT) , a group if you want joining all computer systems represented on the network.
Hope this helps...
