Can a UCMDB Probe discover a server via both Public and Management interface IP Addresses

Hello,

We are trying to discover a few servers using their Management interface IP address. The application team wants UCMDB traffic to be routed via their management subnet so that public interface is solely used for their application related traffic.

For example, the server name is "abcd" with public IP 10.20.30.41 and the same server "abcd-mgt" can be accessed via a management IP 10.20.30.42.

We are able to discover abcd with the public IP successfully, but not the abcd-mgt. FW rules have been taken care of such that the probe can access the management subnet and we are able to discover the mgt IPs via ICMP ping sweep.

What else do you think is needed for this to work or if this is even possible ?

Kindly oblige.

You can add in the probe IP ranages only the management subnet hence discovery will happen only on those IPs.
