HI Manideep,

UCMDB  can discover the file and file contents can be captured based on requirement.  And if the contents are changed/modified, you can track changes for specific content in UCMDB.

for example: ab.txt file has content with name defgh and model 12345. This can be stored in UCMDB as an attribute.

If the name changed to qwerty and model number changed  to 67890 in the file,  in the next discovery cycle, the attribute in UCMDB changes to new values and it will take it as modified time in UCMDB but not file modified time.

UD doesnt save/capture file physically for the purposes of comparison and change tracing.

I hope this answers your question.

Regards
