Configuration Manager won't send emails

Jump to solution

I'm getting an error any time CM tries to send email.  It's a pretty simple configuration.  I have the SMTP server address and SMTP port settings populated correctly.  No authorization required.  UCMDB uses the same settings and can send email no problem.

However, when CM tries to send email, I get NoSuchProviderException: smtp showing up in the amber_general.log file.  Full error message below:

Anyone have any ideas?

TECHNICAL SOLUTION DESCRIPTION:

For 10.21, the workaround is to delete the file javamail-1.3.1.jar.

For 10.22, the problem was fixed by excluding the dependency to javamail 1.3.1 in lwssoUtils.

I have seen an internal defect found by QA on this very issue.  Please log a support case so R&D can help resolve this.

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the workaround, Jason!  Works like a charm.
