Discovering UCMDB itself

Using UCMDB 10.11 CUP2.328 CP 14.03.230

I'm trying to view relatinships between the UCMDB application itself and SQL Server.  I have 2 environments for our UCMDB...test and production.

The production environment consists of the UCMDB application and SQL Server running on the same host.  Not a best practice, but it's what we are doing.

The test environment consists of the UCMDB application and SQL Server running on separate hosts.

For some reason, UD is NOT creating the relationshp in my production environment between the ucmdb_server.exe Process to the IpServiceEndpoint with port 1433.  But it IS creating the relationship for my test environment.

Is there some limitation of UD to discover this relationship if the application and database run on the same host?  I will be discovering  several home grown applications which may rely on this architecture (application and database on same host).

Thanks.

Re: Discovering UCMDB itself

I'm not sure what you mean by "did I try with IP address".   I am able to discover the Windows server which is running UCMDB and SQL Server.   The issue is none of the UD discovery jobs are able to create a relationship between the application and database.  In my test UCMDB environment, where UCMDB and SQL Server are on separate Windows hosts, relationships are created as expected.
