Discovering the network

Jump to solution

Hello,

I am currently running uCMDB 10.01 with the most current updates and ContenPack (10.01.CUP6.438 CP 12.08.1009)

I also have a NNMi instance running on a seperate environment.

I want to be able to discover:

1. Nodes. The Windows and Linux Servers (this is done)

2. Network Devices (this is done).

My question is: Which discovery job sets up the relationship between the Nodes and the network devices?

Or is it better to setup an integration with NNMi?

Kind regards,

Martijn.

Hi

You can run the Discovery Jobs under the Network Infrastructure->layer 2 Module.

Integartion with NNMi will bring you tonns of info without additional connection to the destinations.

Anyways Layer 2 related jobs is a good choise for those who has no NNMi on site.
