Error retrieving CI search suggestions from UCMDB Brower

Fresh install of 2019.02 with UCMDB, SOLR (no clue if this is working correctly) and CMS UI installed on different servers...  SEARCH doesn't work with error:

Error retrieving CI search suggestions. Please check the logs for more details.

In Advanced Search, it says "Failed to get search results from server"

Go to jmx console and run viewSolrCluster. If SOLR works correctly, you should be able to see status similar to this one:

Mbean: UCMDB:service=Topology Search Services. Method: viewSolrCluster
Solr Live Nodes:
http://localhost:8983/solr
Solr Collections/Cores:
solr.core.customer1
JVM and Disk statistics for http://localhost:8983/solr:
Solr allocated memory: 512 MB
Solr memory used: 428.73 MB
Solr memory usage: 0.2184399204930162
Total Disk space: 100 GB
Available Disk space: 52.57 GB
Index Sizes of Solr Cores:
solr.core.customer1 from node http://localhost:8983/solr 47.33 GB

If not, then stop UCMDB, delete "search" folder, then start UCMDB and look into the search.log

It's similar....
Mbean: UCMDB:service=Topology Search Services. Method: viewSolrCluster
Solr Live Nodes:
http://mysolrserver:8983/solr
Solr Collections/Cores:
solr.core.solr
solr.core.atom
solr.core.db
solr.core.tika
solr.core.mail
JVM and Disk statistics for http://mysolrserver:8983/solr:
Solr allocated memory: 512 MB
Solr memory used: 100.07 MB
Solr memory usage: 0.004249065142610799
Total Disk space: 200 GB
Available Disk space: 187.18 GB
Index Sizes of Solr Cores:
solr.core.atom from node http://mysolrserver:8983/solr 69 bytes
solr.core.db from node http://mysolrserver:8983/solr 69 bytes
solr.core.solr from node http://mysolrserver:8983/solr 69 bytes
solr.core.tika from node http://mysolrserver:8983/solr 69 bytes
solr.core.mail from node http://mysolrserver:8983/solr 69 bytes

I get these warnings on the Solr dashboard, and I'm not sure if they are important:
Couldn't add files from D:\solr-7.2.1\contrib\dataimporthandler\lib filtered by .*\.jar to classpath: D:\solr-7.2.1\contrib\dataimporthandler\lib
Solr loaded a deprecated plugin/analysis class [solr.LatLonType]. Please consult documentation how to replace it accordingly.

I'm looking into this: solr.core.customer1
I copied the folder from the UCMDBserver SOLR folder to D:\solr-7.2.1\configsets\ucmdb_configs\customer1
but I also see an empty folder here: D:\solr-7.2.1\customer1

Is there a way to 'rebuild' the solr config for these? I tried Mbean: UCMDB:service=Topology Search Services. Method: reindex
but the printStatusReport JMX method fails to report status:
Mbean: UCMDB:service=Topology Search Services. Method: printStatusReport[java.lang.Integer]
java.lang.RuntimeException: JMX server method invocation has failed: UCMDB:service=Topology Search Services printStatusReport [1]

Wait ... why have you copied anything from UCMDB folder? Why are you not using out of the box solr config?

According to the SOLR install instructions, step C is copying the configsets from the existing UCMDBserver solr...
2. Create and configure the Solr home directory on the machine dedicated for the Solr engine. To do this, follow these steps:
a. Create the <Solr_home> directory.
b. Copy the <UCMDB_Server_Home>\search\solr_dp\solr.xml file from the machine where the UCMDB server is installed to the <Solr_home> directory.
c. Copy the <UCMDB_Server_Home>\search\solr_dp\configsets directory from the machine where the UCMDB server is installed to the <Solr_home> directory.

Hey mate, The UCMDB search is not working because your solr config is not appropriately set. The ucmdb comes with preinstalled version of SOLR and there is absolutely no need to have a separate one unless you see some performance issues. If you really want a dedicated SOLR, maybe it is good if you refer to SOLR admins and experts as well.

the OOTB Solr will be enough until 2M CIs, maybe even 4-5M CIs with some configuration changes. Above that it's recommended to go external with Solr.
