Export Numbers

Jump to solution

Is there a way to get a report that lists just the CIT name and number of items under it. i.e.. I want to know the number totals of the attached screen shot in a spreadsheet.

I dont care about each individual windows machine, just that I have 2314, Unix -703, installed software -752292, etc...I have to run metrics each week and am doing it manually right now..

Has to be a better way.

Thanks

Follow these steps:

1) Go to Report Manager and create a new report

2) In the view tab, drag and drop "Managed Objects".

3) Under Hierarchy, select "Add group by CI TYpe"

4) Go back to reports tab and select "Group by CI TYpe on Managed Objects" and click on "Add function" button (under Report Layout).

5) In the new window, under function, select count.

6) Save it and export the report as excel.

For a quick report you can use jmx-console countCIsPerType

Open jmx-console http://<yourucmdbserver>:8080/jmx-console/

Click on  UCMDB:service=Model Services
Click on countCIsPerType

Fill the parameters example:
customerID:1
tenans: bank
HandleCIsWhitoutTenans: False
ShowEmptyClasses: False
showLinksInSeparateTable: True

Later, one you know the CIT you can use the option countCIsByType

for windows use nt

I am researching if it can be done from a tql.

Got it!...

I followed these directions but had to go one more step. While in reports, I had to right click on the Object and select "Query Node as Invisible. Works like a champ...

Thanks for the help
