Export search results from UCMDB Browser 2.2

Jump to solution

We are working with UCMDB 9.05 CUPS 12 and have loaded UCMDB Browser 2.2. There is an option to export the search results. Is there a way to configure the results? The only results I am getting is Display Label, CIT Type, UCMDB ID and Global ID.

How do I get rid of the ID's and add something useful?

Thanks

Roger

From the ucmdb-browser help:

Export Search Results

You can perform a search and export the search results to a CSV or Excel file.

To specify the attributes to be exported:

  1. In UCMDB, go to Administration > Infrastructure Settings Manager, and choose UCMDB Browser settings.
  2. Do the following:

    • In the Name column, choose Minimal export of search results and choose True if you want to export only the display label, class name, CI ID, and Global ID attributes for each CI. Choose False if you want to export all attributes that are displayed in the Properties Widget.

Additional attributes can be excluded if they are marked in the CI Type Manager in UCMDB. For details, see the description of the Hide in Export Search Results qualifier in the HP Universal CMDB Modeling Guide.

    • In the Name column, choose Remove logical attributes (owner, location) from export of search results and choose True to remove the owner and location attributes from the exported search results.

To export search results to a file:

  • Click Export search results in the search results toolbar. The following options are available:

    • Excel │ Current page
    • Excel │ All pages
    • CSV │ Current page

    • CSV │ All pages

The created file is named with the date and time that the export was performed.

I have tested on UCMDB 10.01 CUP5, Please verify if the same parameter "Minimal export of search results" is available in Administration > Infrastructure Settings ManagerUCMDB Browser settings in the version you are using.

    Best Regards,

Thanks Juan, This doesn't seem to be part of 9.0 Cups 12. Will wait until we finish Dev upgrade of 10.01 CUPS 2 and verfiy if it is there.
