HP SM <-> uCMDB Integration: update relation not endpoint (lifecycle)

Hi,
we have running SM 9.41 and uCMDB 10.33 integration (using SMGenericEnhanced Adapter 941, RESTful) and synchronize CI's from HPSM to uCMDB.
In case of changing a relation on HPSM side (relation=>retired) we want to modify the existing relations between two CIs. As per uCMDB DevRev Guide it should be possible to set attributes of the relation itself not only the CI's.
Based on that we could define an enrichment to cleanup relations  on ucmdb side where the state of the relation is "retired". But I am unable to update any attribute in the relation (i.e. name or data_note).
Does anybode know howto update relation attributes using the adapter?

(see attached screenshot of the manual where is written that "RootLink" attributes should be updateable..)

Thanks in advance for your replies!

Regards, Thomas
