HP UCMDB - HP Service Manager Federation

Hello experts,

How can I add custom RFC category to RFC federation?

From adapter log:

2015-02-10 21:46:11,157  DEBUG  [AdHoc:AD_HOC_TASK_PATTERN_ID-456-1423593971141] - smintegration >> received propertiesCondition: (Category IN [CI Group, Hardware, Maintenance, Network, Software, Emergency Change, Normal Change, Standard Change]); result condition Query = :Category isin {"CI Group", "Hardware", "Maintenance", "Network", "Software", "Emergency Change", "Normal Change", "Standard Change"}

UCMDB 10.20

Re: HP UCMDB - HP Service Manager Federation

From the KB doc

These are the steps to add the new category:
1) Add the new category to the enum of Category in uCMDB
Go to Type Manager -> System Type Manager -> Change Category and add the new category (for example Application)
2) Edit the file serviceDeskConfiguration.xml to add also the category.
<ucmdbEnumConfiguration name="change_category_enum">
<enumValueMapping ucmdbValue="ci_group" serviceDeskValue="CI Group"/>
<enumValueMapping ucmdbValue="hardware" serviceDeskValue="Hardware"/>
<enumValueMapping ucmdbValue="maintenance" serviceDeskValue="Maintenance"/>
<enumValueMapping ucmdbValue="network" serviceDeskValue="Network"/>
<enumValueMapping ucmdbValue="software" serviceDeskValue="Software"/>
<enumValueMapping ucmdbValue="application" serviceDeskValue="Application"/>
It is also necessary to verify that the others enumerations used in RFC CIs match between SM and uCMDB. Like Approval Status, Change Phase, Subcategory, RFC Status, Risk Assessment, Impact, Priority, etc.
If your category name contains a space between words, convert a space into _ -char in System type editor (like CI Group in the example). It will be converted back into a space by UCMDB when communicating with Service Manager.
Moving on, this account is no longer active. Best regards, Kelalek
