HP Universal Discovery: Question on Management Zones

Jump to solution

Version : 10.11.CUP3.391

CP: 14.0.168

OS: RHEl 6.5

Hello,

Is it possible to export a Management Zone and the associated Discovery activity ?

we'd like to move these Management zones created for different cities to other HP UD environments.

I looked into Package manager and the jmx console but found no luck.

Any advise is appreciated.

Thanks,

praveen

Hi Praveen,

Thank you for share this question with us.

Currently, this is not supported as a feauture. However, there is an ER:

https://softwaresupport.hp.com/group/softwaresupport/search-result/-/facetsearch/document/LID/QCCR1H90129

Also, seems there is a workaround. Please, check it out:

On the UCMDB source:

-Log in into JMX console

-Get in into UCMDB:service=Discovery Manager

-Invoke the method called getManagementZone, it will show you the xml definition for the management zone.

On the UCMDB target:

-Log in into JMX console

-Get in into UCMDB:service=Discovery Manager

-Invoke the method called addManagementZone with the XML definition

I hope this help.

Best regards,

HC
