How to define the filter statement for a string typed value of date?

Jump to solution

My current customer has a customized CIT which has several attributes defined as string, but actually their value is date. For instance, the attribute name is "Insertdate", type is "String", the value is "2019-12-03 02:01:51". They want to define a filter to show all CIs which Insertdate is more than 7 days old. Is it possible to defined the filter on uCMDB UI? If it is, how the filter statement looks like?

Thanks,

Kevin

no, it is not possible. You should switch the Integration to feed date and change the type of the attribute. Or eventually export the data in Excel and from there to do filtering

The field should have been date from the start.
This is a consequence now.
Maybe you can manipulate somehow the date to string conversion but not with the OOTB functionality.
