How to purge InstalledSoftware records from database?

We have approximately 3 million records for InstalledSoftware in our database and would like to purge and rediscover.  Just looking for suggestions as to how to accomplish the delete of all of these records.

Thanks for the help,

Bob

Hello Bob,

try using the JMX method deleteByClassType. Depending on how good your UCMDB moves, it should go from first call.

Kind regards,

You can just create an enrichment that will purge them. Just remember to disable it after you are finished.

Re: How to purge InstalledSoftware records from database?

there is a quota about executing deletion of class, which has more than 200k entries. As Bogdan has mentioned, the deleteByClass JMX is the fastest method, but if it ends up with an error in the error.log of the UCMDB, then you will have to raise the quotas.
