Installing inventory tools on laptop

Jump to solution

Has anyone been successful with installing inventory tools on your laptop/desktop? I was told this could be done so i wouldn't have to login into the data probe server to research scanfiles. I get the following error: the code execution cannot proceed because icuuc20.dll was not found.

Any ideas?

Can you run this with Administrator rights? Like "Run as administrator"?

Cool.
I never understood what's special about this DLL file and under what conditions/restrictions it cries about permissions.
It may be a minor defect but running it as admin always works.

I still can't go to a file and open with "viewer.exe" but at least i can open the viewer and open the scanfiles that way. Still is better than RDP to server and viewing them there.

So the file extension association isn't available. This may be some NT specific problem.
Yes, double clicking on the scan file would be cool but then again you aren't opening tens of files daily, hopefully.
