Inventory Discovery By Scanner Workflow Interrupted by user

Jump to solution

Hello:

Some computers don't finish the scanner because the user reboots or shutdown the computer.
This issue implies that the workflow fails with fatal error and not runs again until the next invocation of the job.

Is there any idea to fix this?

Example of log by the UCMDB UI:

<< Progress message, Severity: Error>>
Scanner failed, Completion: Failed: Terminated by user, Status: Interrupted by user. (Packaged File Data)

Example of the communication log:

log start="09:46:47" severity="workflow-debug">step Check Scanner Finished finished execution with status: FATAL_FAILURE. triggerCI: 48604bb592961435943461dce6aad594</log>

thanks

How often does this happen? You can always restart the inventory job, but it will require manual action. The second option would be to decrease the scanning made by the scanner so to be executed faster.

Hello Chuchi,

Hope your'e doing fine.

Looking at the Examples you attached, it is better to open a ticket with the Support team as there could be more information detailed based on the examples you metioned. As we do not know your enviroment Version this kind of issue needs to be assisted by an engineer.

They can provide a resolution based on the complete logs in order to know the root cause of the issue.
