Inventory Discovery by Scanner and UD agents

How to run  "Inventory Discovery by Scanner" only PrePostScript? And what do you want global configuration file "ScannersByPlatformConfigurationFile.xml" and "InventoryDiscoverySetting.xml"?
How can I filter the data sent to theUCMDB?
For example, as a result of the discovery a few CI "IP-address" with the display label: fe90::200:7f:fffe, fe80::5efe:10
How do these IP-addresses did not get UCMDB?

Sorry for my English, i use Google Translate.

Re: Inventory Discovery by Scanner and UD agents

Hi.

If you want run only Pre/Post scripts - disable run scanner:

1. go to Inventory Discovery adapter

2. Adapters > InventoryDiscoveryByScanner

3. On Adapter Definition tab go to workflow steps

4. Comment this block "Run Scanner" with "<!-- " and "-->"

<!--

<step name="Run Scanner" failure-policy="mandatory">
            <module type="jython">RunScanner.py</module>
            <timeoutParking>
                <initialTimeout>300000</initialTimeout>
                <retriesThreshold>12</retriesThreshold>
                <multipleBy>2</multipleBy>
                <maxRetry>40</maxRetry>
                <timeoutThreshold>1800000</timeoutThreshold>
            </timeoutParking>
</step>

-->
Best Regards, Sergy.

Re: Inventory Discovery by Scanner and UD agents

It did't help,  after comnnented block "Run Scanner", script(creates files with information) is not executed on remote machine. Uncommented block script created file.
