Hi, Is there any online session to participate and contact UD experts? or do we just write our questions to forum under CMS topic and experts answer the questions? Thanks

Re: Jan 26-27th: Online Expert day CMS (UCMDB/UD) !!

Hi,

Just highlight there's a mistake in the Event end time:

Event end time:  January 27th at 06:00 AM Pacific Standard Time / 09:00 AM Eastern Standard Time / 02:00 AM Greenwich Mean Time

should be (2PM GMT instead of 2AM GMT)

Event end time:  January 27th at 06:00 AM Pacific Standard Time / 09:00 AM Eastern Standard Time / 02:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time

Re: Jan 26-27th: Online Expert day CMS (UCMDB/UD) !!

Good morning! We recently upgraded to 10.21 to take advantage of the top-down discovery. I noticed that when I installed Configuration Manager, it changed the port of the UCMDB Browser. We encountered a performance issue with CM and Browser also seemed hung. How tightly coupled is CM with Browser? If I uninstall CM, does that affect my top-down discovery? Sorry, 2 questions here I guess!

Re: Jan 26-27th: Online Expert day CMS (UCMDB/UD) !!

Hi Alex,

My 1st topic today would be to ask how to make dashboards with Modeling Studio such as representing the distribution of the platform across all the nodes hosting Oracle databases we have in our uCMDB...
see attached document of what we are doing outside UCMDB....

my wish would be to do the same within UCMDB.

Thanks for advices

Regards,

Bruno

Re: Jan 26-27th: Online Expert day CMS (UCMDB/UD) !!

Hi,

My 2nd topic would be to know how many CIs can we loaded and exported within a report?
I mean:
- I created a view based on the Managed Relationship CI Type and I have a report linked to that view
- The report aims at displaying and reporting ALL the CIs with ALL their attributes linked to that CI Type
- Nb of Managed Relationships is 6Million

Another question is:
- there's a link between Node and NodeElement (Composition)
- How can I display the Id of the Node whom the NodeElement is linked to?
There's here a parent-child relation, right?

Thank you,
Regards,
Bruno

Re: Jan 26-27th: Online Expert day CMS (UCMDB/UD) !!

Hi Alex,

My 3rd topic is:
For some CIs and for some of their attributes, it seems we can find some carriage returns into the string.
It's when exporting to .CSV format, transforming the 1st column from "Text to Column" and each time there's a carriage return found, the data of the attribute are stored in column A.

see attached document

Is there a solution on how to eliminate the carriage return within the attribute?

Thanks,
Regards,
Bruno

Hi all,

Thanks for submitting your question but......

Please create a new post when you submit your questions. Don't reply to this promotion post on the expert day.

Go to the forum and click on "New Post", that way the engineers and other members see what you are asking.

Thanks and have a nice day.

Greetings,

Bill
