Managed Zone discovery with Client IP range

We are UD 10.01 and are attempting to discovery client devices in a Client ip range.

We've configured our Client IP range, created a MZ and the Infrastructure/Inventory Jobs aka Activities.

We don't see any results when the jobs are activated. We don't see any errors or warnings either.

The only way we've been able to get results is to configure the MZ for MS Domain discovery and manually install the Agent.

What am I missing?

Thanks

Re: Managed Zone discovery with Client IP range

Please check Discovery status section for your Management Zones and Activity. Check right bottom of attached screenshot.

Please be aware that Discovery Jobs created by Zone-Based Discovery aren't showing by default in Discovery Modules/Jobs.

Re: Managed Zone discovery with Client IP range

Thanks Dima,

Yes I see the Client IP Ranges and the status shows 100% complete.

Yes, the Jobs do not appear as Activated in the Discovery Control Panel but you can see them in the Activity Jobs panels and on the DFM via the JMX-console->Job Statuses

Re: Managed Zone discovery with Client IP range

Spoiler

After much digging I found the discagnt.log and am seeing http 400 errors when attempting to call home.

Any insights as to why?

Thanks,

Re: Managed Zone discovery with Client IP range

Please check that Call Home was configured correctly. Check p.91 of attached document.

Hope this helps.

Re: Managed Zone discovery with Client IP range

We there's not much to configure e.g.. DFM, frequency etc.

What we're seeing is that you must use port 80.

In our case the DFM is on a shared server which is running IIS and we appear to have a port conflict.

Currently digging around to see if we can change the DFM port.

Suggestions accepted.
