Migrate uCMDB to Dev Environnement

Hi use uCMDB 10.01 with latest patches. We wan't to have a copy of our productive UCMDB in a development environnement. Are there any best practices / experiences with this. We have a running uCMDB System in our DEV.

Would it be sufficient to copy the databases and run the configuration tool ? should this work. Can we access a Database Schema from any uCMD Installation ? Is there some machine specific information in the database ?

Re: Migrate uCMDB to Dev Environnement

Do the copy of production environment DBs. You can change names if you wish.

And use disaster recover procedure from the UCMDB documantation to connect new new environment to old DB dumps.

Please be aware that empty table need to be copied as well. Your DBA know what I'm talkign about.
