NNMi-UD integration

We have integarted NNMi-UD to pull all the N/w devices and topology . UD is further integrated to Asset Manager .

Issue is in NNMi to UD integartion serial number of network devices like router/switch, switch router etc is not populated . Only  the serial number of hardware board is populated .

Without the serial number, we cannot send the data to Asset Manager as the tql is not null(serial number)

Can someone hlp to modify the nnmi integartion adapter to pull the serial number of all N/w devices .

Re: NNMi-UD integration

Hello ,

Would you please test the new integration adapter that push data from NNMi to UCMDB?

In case that we use the "NNMi Integration" from UCMDB Integration Studio.

Re: NNMi-UD integration

Hi Aprit,

We do recommend integration from NNM to UCMDB that is called push integration and has been improved.

You need to set the integration on NNMi and point to ucmdb server.

please review this kb:

Re: NNMi-UD integration

Hello Arpit,

I have checked the adapter scripts, and noticed that UCMDB doesn't pull serial number for Node CIT from NNMi . Only below attribute will be populated .

class NmsNodeEntity(BaseManagementNmsEntity):
    DEV_PREFIX_LEN = len('com.hp.ov.nms.devices.')

    LAN_SWITCH_CAPABILITY = 'com.hp.nnm.capability.node.lanswitching'
    IP_FORWARDING_CAPABILITY = 'com.hp.nnm.capability.node.ipforwarding'

    field_names = (
        'id',
        'name',
        'is_lan_switch',
        'is_router',
        'system_name',
        'system_contact',
        'system_description',
        'system_location',
        'system_object_id',
        'long_name',
        'snmp_version',
        'device_model',
        'device_vendor',
        'device_family',
        'device_description',
        'device_category',
        'uuid',
        'management_mode',
#        'customAttributes',

As far as I know , we had an Enhancement request to pull serial number for node from NNMi 9.20 before .the serial number is stored in 'chassisid' field  , but it's not available from the API .

If you're certain that this information can be fetched from NNMi, you can either create an Enhancement request through HPE Software Support portal ,

or customize the adapter following this guide : http://cmshelpcenter.saas.hp.com/CMS/10.30/cp-docs/docs/eng/doc_lib/Content/NNM_integ_cust.htm

Kind Regards,

Erika
