Populate RTSM existing CIs with custom attribute values

I'm attempting to use OOB .csv integration to populate company specific attributes.

Using OMi 10.12 Integration studio -> new integration point

I don't think i'm fully understanding the purpose of the 'Trigger CI Instance'.

If I select existing  i get an error saying "There are no CI instances"

If I select new it looks like I need to create new instances of a node, but I don't want to do that I want to update existing.

What's going on ?

Any help greatly appreciated

Re: Populate RTSM existing CIs with custom attribute values

Regarding to the guide HPE Operations Manager i (10.61) :

"If you use the RTSMtoCMSSync TQL as a starting point, you must make sure that the correct
attributes for your integration are synchronized. Right click any node and select Properties to
bring up the Query Node Properties window. On the Element Layout tab, select Select
attributes for layout. In the Conditions section, adjust the conditions in order to include the
attributes you need. If you would like to include all attributes, set Attributes condition to All."
