Probe and UCMDB on the same server

Jump to solution

I need some input here. I have 2 probes that scan my network without issues. However we are adding a subnet that will house systems with security issues. This will be a seperate subnet, with 20 servers, and a few net devices. We would like to add a third probe to scan just that subnet. Are there any issues installing this third, limited use probe on the application server?

Is that you would like to install the probe on the ucmdb application server itself ?

It should not be a problem until your server has got the resources reqruied.

Can you please clarify if your two existing probes are installed on separate servers than the UCMDB Application Server.

Hi,

Probe can be installed with ucmdb server just if it have the require hardware and software.

You can check it on the Support Matrix guide and Deplyment guide.

Also Probe can be installed in union or separate mode.
