Re: Receiving warning on Inventory discovery job

The message is caused by the job connecting to a host with a UD Agent but the connected client has a different ud_unique_id than it was expecting. This is a normal condition when you have DHCP IP addresses. The job will continue to connect to the other IP addreses associated with the triggered client until it finds the one with the matching ud_unique_id. When you are working with clients that move around, like laptops, that is the purpose of the Call Home processing job. Call Home processing will provide the current IP address to the probe and unpark Inventory Discovery by Scanner jobs.
