Reset jmx password - ucmdb 9.04

Jump to solution

Hi all,

I need to reset the admin password for the jmx portal.

Is there some configuration file to do this? If yes, which file is it?

Best regards,

Sutot

It's possible in UCMDB 10.X only.

You could try to change string in the wrapper.conf file on the server, located at C:\hp\UCMDB\UCMDBServer\bin\, set the following:

wrapper.java.additional.16=-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false

Hi Dima,

thanks for your quick answer.

In my wrapper.conf file was already as you wrote me:

wrapper.java.additional.14=-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote
wrapper.java.additional.15=-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=29601
wrapper.java.additional.16=-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false
wrapper.java.additional.17=-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false
wrapper.java.additional.18=-Djava.io.tmpdir=../runtime/jetty-cache

This is my issue: LDAP server used by uCMDB is changed, and now I cannot login to the uCMDB. So I was trying to modify the LDAP configuration using the jmx console, but previous  admins didn't write any documentation.  Is there an alternative way to modify LDAP configuration?

Thanks again,

Sutot2

Default credentials are sysadmin/sysadmin.

Did you try that?

Hi Dima,

you're right, it works.

Last question: using LDAP authentication is it possible to left active the admin uCMDB user (obviously not present in LDAP)?

Thanks,

Sutot2
