Server CI descrition getting overwritten with unwanted value

When my VMware scan jobs (WMware topology by VIM and CIM) are done, they will update the description of my Server CI's with a correct description of their OS name like "CentOS 4/5/6/7 (64bit)"
But when the servers are later scanned by "Host Discovery / Host Connection by shell", then the description is changed to just "Linux". See screenshot.

I dont know what is the best way to get around this, im hoping to find some sort of way to tell UCMDB that "if this field/value is populated by this job, then that job can't overwrite it"

UCMDB is version 10.30

Good question!
I had similiar problems in the past.
Pragmatic approach: fix HostConnectionByShell script to prevent adding "Linux" in the description.

Orher approach:
Use enrichment to copy the description value, at the time when its fine, to another attribute like "DiscoveredOS"..
