Thread Setting on Probe and Discovery Adapter

What is the highest setting for each do you have or what do you think is practicle.?

We want the probes to work as fast as possible without ovewhelming the ucmdb server. So the discovery can finsh in one day all the jobs.

That's a bold goal and it depends very much on:

  • how many probes do you have
  • how big/tunned is your UCMDB  HA cluster
  • how fast is your DB
  • how much History do you keep
  • external standalone Solr
  • standalone Browser
  • UCMDB version
  • use of always-on enrichments (avoid them)
  • use of globalFiltering in order to avoid useless dataIn

And this is just to name a few.

Keep in mind that for UCMDB 11 we did a relevant upgrade for Postgresql DB server so the probes will be a little bit faster.
