UCDMB : Server to Network Layer Relationship

We are pulling the N/w devices and n/w topology through NNMi into UD . HP SOM pushes the Storage Topology .

we discover Virtual infra/topoly through UD . Now we need to create a topology between the n/w layer and server layer.  We have run layer 2 jobs still the relationship is not created .

Can you please guide on the same , what discovery jobs should we run

Re: UCDMB : Server to Network Layer Relationship

Hi,

I think it's supposed to work this way, you are already getting layer2 relations via your integration with NNMi(make an enrichment to remove those not valid e.g only single side) but you don't have information needed to relate this information to your existing infrastructure in uCMDB. What i think you need to do is enable snmp access for NNMi to your servers and include those to you integration as monitored end nodes. I don't think it's recommended to run any layer2 discovery job in uCMDB when you are integrating with NNMi.

Best regards,

Peter
