(UCMD Support Tip) – Integration with SCCM fails

Issue:

In the event of running UCMDB 02.2020 and trying to integrate it with Microsoft SCCM. Added the credentials and the "Check Credentials" test was successful.  Also created an ODBC connection to the SCCM database and it connected successfully,

Yet when tried to configure the integration point received the below error upon doing the Test Connection :

com.hp.ucmdb.discovery.probe.request.ProbeSideProcessorException: [ErrorCode [800] Couldn't connectto Integration{test, SMSAdapter, ENAVVMMCMIPPS01}]Integration[test]: Test connection failed

Workaround:

Root cause was due to  was down to SCCM adapter configuration and the absence of an important driver

1) In the adapter file - adapterCode\SMSAdapter\META-INF\persistence.xml - more configuration was needed for persistence-unit :

was replaced with :

2) In the adapter .conf file - it wasn’t referring to use the persistance.xml file as dal.use.persistence.xml was set to false . This was then modified to true.

3) The driver jtds-1.3.1.jar was missing so it was downloaded and installed it in the \lib directory of the failing adapter

4) Restarted the probe and the issue was resolved
