(UCMD Support Tip) – uCMDB External SOLR Failure cause by indexing use huge disk space that Impact

Issue:

In the event of having uCMDB 2019.02 and an External SOLR server. And for some reason the External SOLR has been consuming a large amount of data unusually. Being not able to get the CMDB Browser up and functional due to the index issue with the SOLR.

Workaround:

Root cause is due to solr engine keeping index data for one year. Based on ucmdb setting, it should keep within the 15 days.

In order to resolve the issue we need to remove index info.

Instruction:

Stop both applications (sorl and ucmdb server)

From standalone solr server:
Go into ucmdb folder and delete:
Analyzer_core
Customer_1

From Ucmdb server:
Go into UCMDBServer/runtime and delete
jettycache

Start applications in the next order:
1. solr service
2. UcmdbServer service
