UCMDB Discovery: HP BladeSystem c7000 Platinum Enclosure

Jump to solution

For discovering the
HP BladeSystem c7000 Platinum Enclosure
I have used ssh
credentials. Check credentials is successful.

While running the infrastructure discovery I am only receiving the node , IP address and ssh software.

Host connection by shell throws an error command timed out. I have tried running few basic commands on it via putty, but it does not recognize any one.

Please advise is it the expected outcome or do I need to use some other protocol.

Hello,

I assume you are trying to connect to the management console of the blade system via ssh (like you would connect to a host) and retrieve information with specific commands. It is possible that not all ssh commands will be present there. Also, i don't think we have an OOTB discovery pattern for that blade system.

You could write your own script to retrieve information or, if the blade system "speaks" SNMP, you can try that job.

Could you also put the communication log including results for this issue?

Best regards,

Andrei Matei
