UCMDB Federation Question

Hi,

The customer is using the old version of UCMDB (v8.06) and we are using federation to push this data to Service Manager. We have a Scheduler which has 3 jobs added to it, the count of CIs in the TQLs for these 3 jobs is 20K. Now my question is when scheduler runs, the time taken to run the jobs should be equivalent to sync 20K CIs or the delta(changes) for these CIs?

Puneet

Re: UCMDB Federation Question

Hi,
when you schedule the integration Jobs, you have the option of doing a full sync or changes sync, it is based on that

Re: UCMDB Federation Question

Hi,

You are right, in case schedule time will be less than time needed to sync 20K CIs you'll be in resource starvation situation.

Keep in mind that you could schedule diff and run full sync manually.

You also need to keep in mind discovery frequency. In case, discovery runs once a day, sync running twice won't bring any benefits...
