UCMDB Jobs issue after DFP restart

Dear colleagues,

We are facing with Integration and Discovery Jobs issue. Scheduled Jobs stop after DFP is restarted.
What is the problem? Why DFP lose scheduler?

System details:

Integration service is not used and stopped.
Version: 2019.05
Server version: 11.5.0 build: 217
OS: Linux version 3.10.0-1062.18.1.el7.x86_64
DB: [ucmdb_test_db] at Postgresql on [dbserver.firma.com:5432]
MT: enabled
No hotfix/binaries are applied
HA: Is_ha_enabled = true
Cluster_name = postgresql_ucmdb_test_db
Cluster_nodes_names = [ucmdbtest.firma.com_1584965640635]
Cluster_node_number = 1

[Customer ID: 1, Name: Default Client, CP: 2019.05.122Description: Default Client, Config ID: 5]
Probe: IntegrationService, version: 11.5.0.217, build: 217
Probe: DFP3002AA, version: 11.5.0.217, build: 217

For example, we have two jobs with repeat every 20 min:

  1. Integration Job – DS_Cloud_Orchestrator via SQL_Population Job
  2. Discovery – MZ_TEST_zn_test_infra_Network_Host Connection by Shell and MZ_TEST_zn_test_infra_Network_Range IPs by ICMP

After jobs were scheduled they run every 20 min. And we can see their status and Invocations on Data Flow Probe Status.

3 status after jobs were scheduled.png4 status after firs run.png

If we restart DFP, jobs stop and do not run again. On Data Flow Probe Status: Next Invocation is blank.

Re: UCMDB Jobs issue after DFP restart

There may be some underlying problems on the probe.
Anything interesting on the probe logs?

Re: UCMDB Jobs issue after DFP restart

Thank you for reply.

There are no errors in DFP logs and UCMDB logs. Of course we can see "org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: FATAL: the database system is shutting down" when DFP restart .

Re: UCMDB Jobs issue after DFP restart

Then the problem must be on the Postgresql from probe side.
What version are you using?
Is the Postgresql directory excluded from active Antivirus scanning?

Re: UCMDB Jobs issue after DFP restart

DFP's PostgreSQL is embedded (from DFP install).

Antivirus, so I'll try to contact security team.

Re: UCMDB Jobs issue after DFP restart

We upgraded the PGSQL version in UCMDB 2019.11 to PostgreSQL 10.0.9, this will include some fixed defects.
It's not supported but you can upgrade you current 9.4.18 to the latest 9.4.28 minor-minor version from https://www.enterprisedb.com/downloads/postgres-postgresql-downloads
We actually recommended such a similar approach in 10.33 CUP3 due to some security issues. As a side effect we noticed some performance improvement. It's sad that a lot of customers missed that notice from the release notes.
