(UCMDB) Support Tip - Adding a reconciliation exclusion manually to the URM

Folks;

There may be times when it is required to exclude a specific value of an attribute for reconciliation to the exclude list yet it isn't added by the auto-exclude functionality.

To do this:

  1. Open a web browser and use the following URL:  <protocol>://<UCMDB>:<PORT>/jmx-console/HtmlAdaptor?action=invokeOpByName&name=UCMDB%3Aservice%3DURM+Services&methodName=addResource[java.lang.Integer|java.lang.String]&argType=java.lang.Integer&arg0=1&argType=java.lang.String&arg1=Reconciliation_IDENTIFICATION_EXCLUDE   (where <protocol> is HTTP or HTTPS, <UCMDB> is the UCMDB Server DNS Name and <PORT> is the UCMDB port (usually 8443))
  2. The value to add should be in this format:    RecType:<CI Type for reconciliation>, CiType:<CI Type of attribute>, Attribute:<name of the attribute>, Value:<value to exclude>,

RecType:node, CiType:interface, Attribute:mac_address, Value:00000000000000E0,

In the above example, it would exclude for reconciliation purposes ONLY attached interfaces to a node with a MAC address of: 00000000000000E0.  The ending comma is required.

Hope this helps,
