(UCMDB) Support Tip - CI deletion Issue
In the event of creating Business services, Business applications and Infrastructure services using XLS import; as a result CIs are getting deleted after some time, due to aging or any other reason, at the same time not wanting to disable aging global setting.
While this Integration job with service anywhere runs weekly, it produces the error below:
Push Adapter: Mapping failed: [Mapping error with root instance [infrastructure_service::15f93531b7ee54ed99433276534e8b3c]. See logs for more details.] com.hp.ucmdb.adapters.exception.GenericMappingException: [ErrorCode Generic Adapter: Mapping failed] Failed executing value [MaasPushFunctions.getServiceType(Root['root_class'])] of mapping , Root cmdbId [15f93531b7ee54ed99433276534e8b3c]
Are there any alternative or setting to be changed in order to prevent these CI s from deletion?
The following options should be consider:
1. With respect to CI Deletion due to aging. An option will be to exclude a CI from the Aging progression. Thereby they remain in UCMDB and won’t get deleted by Aging.
2. Also, there is a setting in the Adapter to disable the aging for the CIs which one might be importing. In this case, one should go to the adapter which is used to pull the data from xls and make this change. By default it will be enabled the aging of such CIs.”
