Can't change any dataflow probe setup data, each attempt fails with the error message :

- Failed saving data

also, in the error.log, one can see the part in bold :

Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException  at com.hp.ucmdb.discovery.server.utils.RUMConfigurationUtil.loadRUMConfigurationFile(RUMConfigurationUtil.java:74)  at com.hp.ucmdb.discovery.server.utils.RUMConfigurationUtil.initUdRumFileParser(RUMConfigurationUtil.java:68)  at com.hp.ucmdb.discovery.server.utils.RUMConfigurationUtil.getRumConfiguration(RUMConfigurationUtil.java:59)  at com.hp.ucmdb.discovery.server.framework.discovery.manager.AutoDiscoveryUserManagerImpl.getDomains(AutoDiscoveryUserManagerImpl.java:2340)  at com.hp.ucmdb.discovery.framework.user.operations.AutoDiscoveryOperationGetDomains.executeUserOperation(AutoDiscoveryOperationGetDomains.java:49)  ... 56 more

the following solution must not be used, if this exact error message if error.log is not showing this text : loadRUMConfigurationFile ideally, the stack trace should look like this : Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException at com.hp.ucmdb.discovery.server.utils.RUMConfigurationUtil.loadRUMConfigurationFile(RUMConfigurationUtil.java:74) at com.hp.ucmdb.discovery.server.utils.RUMConfigurationUtil.initUdRumFileParser(RUMConfigurationUtil.java:68) at com.hp.ucmdb.discovery.server.utils.RUMConfigurationUtil.getRumConfiguration(RUMConfigurationUtil.java:59) at com.hp.ucmdb.discovery.server.framework.discovery.manager.AutoDiscoveryUserManagerImpl.getDomains(AutoDiscoveryUserManagerImpl.java:2340) at com.hp.ucmdb.discovery.framework.user.operations.AutoDiscoveryOperationGetDomains.executeUserOperation(AutoDiscoveryOperationGetDomains.java:49) ... 56 moreFailed saving data if this error is there, it means that the file UDRUMConfiguration.xml was deleted or renamed.

This file belongs to the SIM_Integration package. redeploy this file or the whole package, it will fix the problem.
