UCMDB Support Tip : “Failed to run command in su mode.” error while running HC by shell job

Issue description:

In a Japanese environment  when * is configured in command list, the ‘Host Connection by Shell’ job fails to discover Linux machines.

Error message is: SSH: Internal error. Details: Failed to run command in su mode.

Solution:

Entering an asterisk (*) in this field means that all commands configured on the discovered destination can be run with sudo or su, but sometimes this could fail.

To resolve this error, when configuring the list of the commands to be executed in sudo or su mode, user should put specific commands in command list field.

Regards,

Erika
