UCMDB Support Tip: How UCMDB and Configuration Manager database grow over time

The Database size grows over time because UCMDB maintains the history for the CI changes. It includes modifications of the CI attributes as well as CI additions and deletions.

By default the history is maintained for 40 days, after growing for 40 days the growth should slow. The size of the history depends on how stable the discovery data is, if the data is stable then it should not be very big, but if the environment is very dynamic, and there is a lot of changes the history will be bigger.
