UCMDB Support Tip: WARN - ValidationPoint can not redirect, since authenticationPointServer ...

Such warning error message is reported very frequently in the error.log.

This error comes from the LWSSO 3rd party library used by UCMDB. This is a regular behavior of this third party library and happens in all UCMDB environments. It is recommended to please ignore this warning since it does not have any impact on functionality of UCMDB Application.


Please use the following instructions to correct this warning. After the changes suggested are applied, please note only the warning will not be reported in error.log

1. Open root.properties file located under UCMDB Server directory on UCMDB Application Server. ie "C:\hp\UCMDB\UCMDBServer\conf\log\root\root.properties",


2. Add the following line in root.properties and save the file (see bolded text below):

***Snippet from the root.properties****** def.file.max.size=5000KB def.files.backup.count=10

log4j.rootCategory=WARN, error.appender

#enable the following line (and disable the one above) to get per-thread full trace of all logs #Warning! Extremely heavy log usage, enable only when actively debugging. #note - these two can also be enabled via the Server services JMX

3. Restart the UCMDB Server after performing these changes
