UCMDB Third Party Integration Managed Data Repository (MDR)

Can somebody clarify what we get when we buy such a license (eg. TF215AAE).

Would this mean we can integrate a certain amount of Servers/Network Devices from a third party database without needing "OS Instance Licenses" for those CI's?

Do we need one license for each system/database? Can somebody give us an example how this license works?

P.S. This thread has been moved from Application Perf Mgmt (BAC / BSM) Support and News Forum to CMS and Discovery Support and News Forum. - Hp Forum Moderator

Re: UCMDB Third Party Integration Managed Data Repository (MDR)

TF215AAE gives you entitlement for integrating data from 2 external MDRs. For CIs from those MDRs OS Instance licenses are not applicable at all.

If you don't know what MDR is, here is the definition:

A repository of data that can be a third party product or custom built and provides data about managed resources (for example, computer systems, application software, and buildings), process artifacts (for example, incident records and request for change forms), and the relationships between them.

Thanks Dmittry

Just to be sure:

Integration of devices from a 3thrd party db needs:

TF215AAE for the connection to the MDR

TF210AAE Universal Discovery Inventory OS Instance for each server from that MDR ?
