UCMDB Tip: Eclipse-uddc setup

Hello all,

I have had a few cases where customers were trying to set up Eclipse-uddc. Here is a little tutorial with what is needed:

Here is the link to the eclipse software used for modifying the discovery scripts (udc-0.9.zip):

https://hpln.hp.com/node/11/otherfiles/?dir=15055#hpln_content_node_15055

You have 2 small movies with how to set it up. I will also put the instructions used to set it up.

First, you will have to map the probe as a drive.

Please unzip it -> File ->New -> PyDev project

Put in a name for the project.

Use default

Project type -> Jython

Grammar Version ->2.1

Next

Finish

Right click on the Project -> DDM -> Add DDM Nature

Adress: The IP of the Application Server

Port: 8080 (like the uCMDB Server)

User name: admin

Password: admin

Probe home: mapped drive of the probe

Check Syncronize all

If you have questions don't hesitate to ask me.

Best regards,
