UCMDB Tip: How to map a string constant in the mapping file for push to db?

Hello All,

Here is an example of mapping the name of a calculated link called TSYS between a node and a process:

<source_link_type_tree name="TSYS" target_link_type="RELATION" mode="update_else_insert" source_ci_type_end1="node" source_ci_type_end2="process">

                <target_ci_type_end1 name="node" />

                <target_ci_type_end2 name="process" />

                <targetprimarykey/>

                <target_attribute name="NAME" datatype="char" length="255" option="uppercase">

                        <map type="compoundstring" datatype="char">

                                   <constant value="TSYS" />

                        </map>

                 </target_attribute>

</source_link_type_tree>

Because of the nature of a calculated link, it is not possible to map attributes for it other than end1 and end2. In order to  map a string constant TSYS for the NAME we used the above example. It will set TSYS as value in the NAME column for the relationship.

Regards,

Irina
