UCMDB Tip: Is VMware infrastructure discovery supported for ESX/ESXi 5.1 in UD 10.0x?

We had a customer query whether VMware ESX/ESXi 5.1 is supported for VMware infrastructure discovery in UD 10.01. Please note that although previously UCMDB 10.01 documention was mentioning only ver. 5.0, ESX/ESXi 5.1 is also supported by that version.

Previously we had an Enhancement Request "Inventory Discovery Activity-> Virtualization: ESX/ESXi 5.1 should be supported" opened for this issue https://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/LID/QCCR1H84334, but it was closed with the following clarification:

"This should be supported - the shallow virtualisation discovery that is part of the inventory discovery activity is a subset of the full virtualisation discovery, which supports VMware ESXi 5.1 and vCenter 5.1. This is documented in the Discovery and Integration Content Guide - Discovery Modules, Page 209. Unfortunately, 5.1 was not added to the Discovery and Content Guide - Supported Content section. So it seems to be a documentation problem."

Please note that documentation for CP12 now mentions VMware ESXi 5.1 and vCenter 5.1 as supported versions.
