UCMDB Tip: RTSM - How to increase Model Hierarchy Perspective max depth

Hi All,

We use model hierarchy perspective with more then 5 levels that seems to be the default limit. If you create a perspective based view and add this model to it, you can only expand up to the fifith level which is the default depth. While with BAC 8.x this limit was configurable, the config file is no longer present in BSM 9.22, so here is the way to change the depth:

- Login to uCMDB

- Go to Modeling > Modeling Studio

- Go to the Resources tab and select Queries

- Expand the tree shown in the left pane as follows:

Root > View > Perspectives > Model Hierarchy
- Right-click and select open query

- You should see only one CI named seed

- Right-click on it and select Subgraph Definition

- In the lower left corner you should see a box with 5 in there

- Please increase this to a bigger number example 10 and hit ok

- Hit save on the main Modeling Studio window - Logout and log back into uCMDB
